A man sacrificed his only son because he believed!
The word believe is a action word; it’s not just a thought. Many people deceive themselves so many times. They’d say that they believe this, they believe that but they aren't doing anything to prove that believe. How’s that possible?
Believing is not just a thought pattern, it’s a way of life just like culture. If you believe in something, the evidence that will prove your believe is your action, it’s not your thoughts. Everyone thinks but not everyone does what they think. That’s why believe doesn't end in the thinking stage, it must be brought into action.
This is why so many christians ( or believers) do not get the results that are written in the bible. Many just believe by thought, they do not believe by action but in the bible that’s not the case. People who believed in the scripture were people willing to give their lives and anything for the cause of their belief. They weren't just thinking, they were doing.
Take father Abraham for example. That man believed in God so much that he was willing to sacrifice his only son because God asked him to. His belief wasn't just a thought pattern, it was full of actions upon actions.
What about Elijah? He believed God and he called for a conquest between the god of Baal’s prophets and his own God. He didn't just think, he did something significant to prove that he believed.
That’s how it should be. Believe is an active word that was birthed out of actions, not by thoughts alone. And the bible even concludes it that faith (or belief) without works is as good as dead.
So what are you doing because you believe?
Until tomorrow,
Keep believing,
