Some days ago, someone asked me why I always saw the Bible in everything that happens and I was thrilled. I asked the person a question back.
How don’t you see the Bible in everything?
Well that’s a story for another day. I don't want to go there today. There's something more important.
There was a man who was so great that his sons used to feast daily. When I use the word feast, I mean party. This man was so great that his sons used to throw a party daily. He was so great that he was recorded as the greatest man in the East during his days. You should know that the East isn't a place, it's a region of countries. This man was so great that he was known beyond countries. He was the greatest in the East.
This man I speak of is the Job in the Bible of course. The most amusing thing about this man is the fact that he had no title. He wasn't a doctor, he wasn't as professor, he wasn't a prophet, he was not anything. He was just a man like you and I.
If Job a man with no title or awards or social identity could be so great, what then are we waiting for? We should be on our way to greatness if we aren't already great! We should be up there with the names of the greats in this generation.
This is why I have been led to sending a newsletter about greatness every Monday. Or what better day to talk about greatness than the day work starts officially in the week? If it's not Monday, then it's Monday. If we want anything in this life, we must first learn about it and greatness isn't an exception.
By next week, we will start dissecting the elements that made Job so great. Remember, Job was just a man and he was great beyond countries and regions. What's holding you back from your greatness today?
Till tomorrow,
Stay motivated,
Abayomi Johnson.
