Last week I gave a brief history of how smoking began in Europe but I didn't finish it and I promised to tell the remaining part of the story today.

You'd think that after it had been discovered that smoking cigarettes still caused health diseases in humans, the trend should have stopped or even reduced.
But it didn't. Things continued like that. Humans were already addicted smokers so they couldn't stop.
That was how smoking became a normal thing till date.
In 2020, it was estimated by cancercouncil.com that tobacco use killed at least 10 million people all over the world.
The largest number of this population came from Africa and it’s so saddening.
Thee trend started in the western parts of the world but now, Africans are leading it. The way Africans abuse tobacco, cannabis, cigarettes and other hard drugs in the name of smoking is very alarming.
If smoking killed at least 10 million people in the world in 2020, I wonder what the numbers will be now that the trend has even increased.
We do not know whose turn it will be to lose his life today or tomorrow because of smoking. We do not know. That's why I am always advocating for a change.
I am African and the menace of smoking amongst us is sickening.
If we do not stop or at least reduce this trend as soon as possible, it might be too late before we discover it.
When next you find someone, you should please do well to remind the person of these numbers before it gets too late.
Till tomorrow,
Stay consistent,
Abayomi Johnson.❤️
