No greater love...

This is Jesus (the greatest man that ever was and still is) speaking to his disciples. He was teaching them on the subject of love, the main reason why He came to earth to die for you and I.

When I was a teen, there was a popular telenovela series my siblings and I used to watch. It was titled “No Greater Love.” After watching that series, I was of the thought that no love can be greater than what was acted in that romantic drama. I thought it was the peak of love. And I had my reasons. The movie was beautifully scripted. They wrote the pros and cons in such a way that you’d think that you were the one being affected. I watched the series to a point that I shed tears. The actors were exclusive professionals.

But something changed my ideology some years back. It was Jesus Christ, the savior of the world. Yes I knew about Him before I watched the movie because I was born into a Christian home but I hadn't come into the reality of what how much Christ sacrificed for the world before as at that time. He gave His soul as a franchise for our redemption. Now let me show you why His love is the greatest.

As I have said earlier, that series “No Greater Love” was a great show of love but I have realized that it isn't the peak of it all. They showed love to their friends and family but they were only willing to give their life for their closest family members. There was some bit of reluctance when it came to dying for friends. But Christ's case was different. He died for people who didn't know Him! He died for people who didn't accept His love. He died for people who despised Him and called Him a blasphemous man. He died for people like you and I who weren't even born when He came to this Earth. What love can be greater than this?

It’s Easter, a time when Christians like myself celebrate the death and resurrection of this great being named Jesus Christ so I thought to enlighten you about Him. If you are still yet to accept His enormous love and sacrifice for you, then I urge you to do so immediately. There's so much to enjoy in the love of Christ. Asides redemption, you will become a legitimate child of God. You will get a chance to become a Prince of the Most High God. You will have a friend like none other in Christ. A friend who will understand you despite your shortcomings like He already does now. All you need to do is to surrender your life to Jesus and let Him take you through the journey.

Dear Jesus, I acknowledge your great love and sacrifice for me today. I have come to the reality that you gave so much for me and that you still love me despite the fact that I haven't done the same in return. Today I surrender everything to you and ask you to take charge of my life immediately. Thank you Jesus for your love, thank you for your sacrifice, in Jesus mighty name I have prayed, Amen!
