Nothing Short Of Legendary.
What Went Wrong (15)
Opeyemi practically had to beat her client out of his sleep before he could come back to consciousness. She needed to go meet Amanda because Amanda had given her a time for them to meet outside the club the next day and that time was already at hand like the kingdom of God.
When the client finally woke up and Opeyemi told him that she had to be on her way, he picked up his phone and asked for her account details. She was surprised. She had thought that he would just search his trousers for his wallet and count out some nairam notes for her. She began calculating the possible amounts of money this uncultured man could send her.
“Babim, answer me fast please I want to go back to sleep.” The client said as he belched out loudly. The belching and the pungent smell of alcohol from the man’s mouth was what reminded Opeyemi that she wasn’t alone, she was already lost in thoughts or better still, she was lost in her calculation.
“Oh! I am sorry. I was, I was, I was… You asked for my account details right?” She said as she regained consciousness of her location. She gave him the details and in some few minutes, her phone beeped an alert message.
February 14th was Opeyemi's birthday and a party was holding at one of the biggest event centres in the vicinity. It wasn't just a party, it was a grand party.
All the biggest boys and girls on campus were present with their various exotic rides and outfits. It was more of an oppression party than a birthday party.
It's been over a year since Opeyemi's night out with her first client. Over a year since she marked her appearance into the Aristo world as they always proclaimed it. A lot had happened since then.
As a beginner, she marveled and even danced when she got home because she felt she was being paid too much. Who wouldn't anyway? When your first client whooped in a six digit figure into your account for a one-night-stand, as in, two hundred thousand naira for one night, who wouldn't marvel? Who wouldn't dance?
Even Amanda, the person who brought her into the game was caught off guard with that amount. Her eyes almost fell out of its socket when Opeyemi showed her the credit bank alert from the same client she had introduced her to.
“Eeeeeh, which Baba cut soap for you?” Amanda screamed at the top of her voice as she couldn't take her eyes off the screen for minutes. She hadn't collected that much even though she had been in the game for almost two years. Her best was a hundred thousand and that was because she spent a week with that client.
Opeyemi's entry into the Aristo world was nothing short of legendary. It was epic. It was unimaginable.
“Was that how it really began?” Opeyemi asked herself as she was brought out of her trance once again.
