“Jam your hands together as we welcome on stage the celebrant, the queen of Aristo, Queen Opeyemi.”
That was the voice of the master of ceremonies at Opeyemi's birthday party when she was given a title by some set of Aristo girls. They said they had searched all over the campus and didn't find someone who matched Opeyemi's standards in the Aristo game. They said that she was the one every other person was looking up to because she attained things they never thought they could possibly attain throughout their lifetime. They called her a true queen.
If we were really to be candid with ourselves, those girls who gave Opeyemi the title were not mistaken because since Opeyemi's first job of two hundred thousand naira, she kept on increasing by the day.
And she never bills her client, never. All she did was to present herself as something they hadn't seen or heard before and they would feel indebted to her after everything had went down.
When her first client gave her that amount, she thought she had won a lottery but as the money continued to increase each time she met a new client, she was forced to believe that it couldn't be a coincidence. She thought maybe God really wanted her to be an Aristo girl from the beginning.
Two hundred and fifty thousand naira was her next pay after completing the second job. Clients just felt a need to pay more than necessary whenever a job had been done. It even got to a point when she began to have thoughts that maybe someone had done money ritual for her without informing her. All of the blessings were just too much for her to comprehend.
She had two big houses and five fleet of cars to herself and for the record, she never bought any of them with her money. All were gifts over-satisfied clients gave to show their gratitude for a job well done.
She was really a true queen. Before her, the lady who was their queen had been into the Aristo game for almost seven years before she earned the title. She had been doing it since her undergraduate days and even continued after graduation. But it took Opeyemi only a year and some months to dethrone her. What better definition could a true queen have?
