There is a fear you need to have to be great.

You probably have heard many public speakers or teachers say that if you want to be great, you need to be fearless and brave, ready to face any situation at any time.

Well they aren't wrong. But there's something more. They haven't said it all.

There is a particular type of fear a man needs to be great. This fear is what will give the man confidence to be able to overcome any situation that life brings.

Job had this fear and it was recorded in the scripture that he was the greatest man in the east during his days on earth.

This type of fear is not to another man but to the One who owns all mankind Himself. It is a kind of fear that comes with many advantages as opposed to what we know fear to be.

The first advantage it comes with is true knowledge which is a very key ingredient of greatness.

You need power to be great and power comes by information which is an end result of knowledge. When you know, you get informed and when you get informed, you become powerful.

This fear also comes with wisdom. What more can we ask for on our greatness journey as humans? This fear encompasses it all!

This fear I have been talking about is the fear of God. The fear of the supreme One that’s greater than every human strength or power.

If you seek greatness in this life, then you need the fear of God. There's no replacement for it.
