Let’s take a critical thought about the personality of death. Death is a spirit that takes the spirit of humans and every living thing according to my knowledge.
But why is death never satisfied? Why doesn't it get tired of taking lives away. To be sincere, the number of lives that death has taken is much more than the number of lives presently on earth. But it still wants more. It’s still on the hunt everyday.
What a desire! I am not trying to praise death here. I am not trying to say that what death does is a good thing. Do not get the wrong message.
But we need to learn something from death. It is ever hungry! I think the right simile shouldn't be as hungry as a lion, it should be as hungry as death!
The interesting thing I want to bring to your notice this morning is that God compared death to the human desire.
This means that you and I have something in us that is as hungry as death!
Sadly, this isn't being depicted in many humans. Many people have settled for mediocre to the extent that they have no desire anymore. Their desire now exists as a wish, a fairytale in their mind.
Fear has shut down this huge reality in them.
What a waste!
This is a wake up call for you reading this. You need to understand that you have something in you that can be hungry throughout your lifetime.
You have something that is capable of never growing weary or tired.
You have something that is able to shift you into levels and dimensions you never thought possible if only you are willing to wield its power properly.
That thing is your DESIRE!
So where is your death, your desire? Where is your insatiable spirit?
Please wake up! Get it to work! It’s in there and you know it! Stop shutting out its voice!
Till we meet again tomorrow,
Stay intentional,
Abayomi Johnson.
