I was once told that if you haven't been criticized in what you are doing, you haven't really started.
Those who are great in any field are those who are obsessed with what they do.
They see no other light elsewhere so they put their all in that single path they have chosen.
By doing so, they end up being criticized by the world around them.
But if you have been criticized before or you are presently being criticized or you know that criticism is coming your way soon, I have a message for you this morning.
Criticism is a very good way to go. Instead of being infuriated about being criticized, there are two things you should do instead.
Firstly, you should be glad because being criticized means recognition. Criticism means that some set of people have been watching you for a while and they decide to let it out when they are fed up. You have been noticed!
Secondly, criticism shows you the aspect you need to work on to be better at what you do. It helps you improve.
You shouldn't be sad or ill-motivated when you are criticized, you should be happy. It’s a very good sign.
Infact if you are not being criticized, it means that you are not getting it right. If everyone accepts you and what you do freely, it means that you are doing the wrong thing.
Good things always attract criticism in the early stages until the person who initiates it continues for a very long time and it starts producing results.
So when you are criticized again, you should ask yourself “why won't I be criticized?”
Till tomorrow,
Stay consistent,
Abayomi Johnson.✍️
