Women Can Lead But...
Yesterday I was discussing with my mother and the discussion was quite insightful. She discussed about what she tagged “the major problem facing women in leadership.” I had never seen or heard a woman speak so real about women like my mother did yesterday. I was amused so I thought to bring the muse here so we can rub minds together.
She discussed about how an association of women with no man in their midst to put them in check always ends in shambles. When I heard that and I had to pause for a moment to grasp it into my system. It’s not like I haven't heard something like that before but coming from my mother, it hit different. I was awed that something like that could come from a woman.
She reiterated that this is a common knowledge to women but they won't admit it. They’d rather try and let the whole thing end in futility before they accept the reality. Women reading this, is that true?
I am still doing my homework and research on this subject though; I haven't believed totally. But I know one thing for sure: Women are great leaders and their importance cannot be overemphasized. Or what would have become of men like me if not for my mother’s leadership prowess? What would have become of many kids in school if not for women who knew how to handle them efficiently?
Women can lead but…
