You aren't getting out alive!
When I was growing up, I was often scared of many things, a lot of them. I could literally say I was the most ridiculed student during my secondary school days. I was the one with numerous nicknames, different students called me what suited their ideology. I won't mention the names here though, I don't want to be the next trending topic on Twitter.😂
I used to be discouraged then because there was not a single day that I wasn't subjected to that thing. I had girls whom I crushed on in the class that I couldn't tell anything because nobody took me serious. I used to think that talking to a girl about my crush for her was the most risky thing I could ever do in life.
Well I was wrong. I have discovered that the greatest risk in life is being alive because one might just get some sleep now and pass into the great beyond from there. Nobody is in control of what happens during their sleep, so we cannot say if we are truly going to wake up after every sleep.
Some weeks ago, I watched a video and the man said something that piqued my interest. He said:
“Life itself is a risk, you aren't getting out alive.”
Sounds a little bit harsh right? But it’s the truth! Nobody is going to end this life by living. We are all going to die someday. So the greatest risk in this life is actually living in it!
If you have been scared of taking a risk for long, now is the time to do it because you might just sleep now and who knows what might happen next? Kindly understand that I am not trying to scare you. I am just trying to open your eyes to a reality you might have not thought about before.
I am only trying to bring out that raucous fearlessness in you because I know it lies somewhere in there. So if you have been scared to take risks before now, remember that life itself is a risk on its own even if you are doing nothing.
Do have a great day, and of course, I'll see you in tomorrow's newsletter.🥰
