You blamed your parents for long, now it's your turn.
If you were not born in a wealthy family and you've ever wondered why your parents aren't wealthy so you could also enjoy life like those rich kids you know, hands up in the air.
Don't worry you don't have to be ashamed. I was once like that.
Don't get me wrong, we weren't poor. We could afford the basic things of life like food, clothing and shelter. But we couldn't afford luxurious things that everyone desires. Our spending was limited to some extent.
But 2 years ago, my mentality concerning that changed. It changed because of a single question. Here's the question:
You blame your parents for not being well to do enough to give you all the things you desire, now it’s your turn. You’ll become a parent soon (if you are not already one). What are you doing to make sure your kids don't say the same thing about you?
That question changed everything. With that question I realized that my parents have tried their possible best to nurture me thus far.
Now it’s my time to take the baton and run the race better they did.
I do not want my kids to just imagine like I did. I want to be able to provide that luxury lifestyle for every member of my family.
What about you?
It is your turn to make things better. What are you doing?
Remember nobody will change the future for you. It’s up to you to decide what you want. So get to work now!
Till tomorrow,
Stay intentional,
Abayomi Johnson.
